Magnetic particle testing machine
This equipment is designed for magnetic particle testing and is suitable for inspecting variously shaped ferromagnetic components. It can detect surface and near-surface defects such as cracks and slag inclusions caused by casting, forging, quenching, grinding, fatigue, and other processes.
The unit supports AC magnetization and automatic AC demagnetization, and can be used for both continuous and residual magnetic flaw detection. It can be installed fixedly or carried to the worksite for on-site inspection.
With proper methods such as the prods method or coil winding method, irregularly shaped workpieces can be effectively magnetized. Large components can also be inspected section by section.
The magnetization and demagnetization currents are adjusted by controlling the conduction angle of the thyristor. AC magnetization supports power-off phase control to ensure stable residual magnetism. Adopting integrated circuit control, the equipment features safe and reliable operation, as well as a compact size, light weight, easy portability, and simple operation.

Main circuit working principle
- The control circuit of this machine uses an integrated circuit to output phase-shifting pulses. The phase-shifting pulses are sent to the trigger pole of the anti-parallel thyristor in the main circuit through power amplification. The magnetization and demagnetization currents are adjusted by changing the phase of the thyristor conduction angle. the size of.
- When the work selection switch is in the "magnetization" position and the handle button or foot switch of the strut probe is pressed, the magnetization indicator light will light up and the magnetization current will be output.
- When automatic demagnetization is required, set the work selection switch to the "demagnetization" position, the demagnetization indicator light will be on, and press the handle button or foot switch of the strut probe. The equipment output will automatically attenuate the AC current, so that the magnetic field in the part will change from large to large. to a small decay until it reaches zero.
Structural features
- This equipment adopts highly integrated circuits and control modules, with large current controllable, continuously adjustable, small size, light weight and easy maintenance.
- The power incoming line of the equipment is a three-core cable, pins 1 and 2 are the power incoming wires, pin 3 is the neutral line, and the secondary output uses a copper row.
Installation and use conditions
- The surrounding medium temperature should not be lower than -20C° and not higher than +40C°.
- The relative humidity of the air should not be greater than 85%.
- There is no large amount of dust or flammable or corrosive gas environment.
- When connecting the power supply, follow the instructions and sockets to connect the corresponding wires for the equipment.
- Connect the output to the required location and make full contact.
- The equipment must be reliably grounded.
Trial operation
1. This equipment requires dedicated personnel to use it. Please read the instructions carefully before use.
2. The panel is equipped with AC magnetizing current indicator, AC voltage indicator, power indicator light, work selection switch (magnetization, demagnetization), magnetizing current adjustment appliance, external switch socket, and power output quick connector. Input and output cables should be connected before work.
3. Actual operation sequence:
- Turn on the power switch, turn on the power, and the power indicator light turns on;
- According to the work needs, select the magnetizing current and connect the output cable to the corresponding output copper bar.
- Connect the cable, adjust the magnetizing current according to the process needs, press the work button and adjust the potentiometer clockwise, adjust the magnetizing current from small to large, the AC magnetizing current indication value is the effective value.
- Press the work button to magnetize the parts and apply magnetic powder or magnetic suspension at the same time; (Note: one magnetization time shall not exceed 5 seconds, and the intermittent time is 3-5 times the magnetization time)
- Observe the workpiece and check for magnetic marks;
- Set the work selection to the 'demagnetization' position, the demagnetization indicator light (green) lights up, and press the work button to demagnetize;
- When stopping use, disconnect the power supply.
Troubleshooting and repair
Maintenance personnel for equipment failures need to be familiar with circuits and working principles, equipment performance and operating methods. Do not blindly replace parts.
Common troubleshooting methods are as follows:
- Turn on the power switch. If the indicator light does not light up, the whole machine has no power supply. Check the power cord and power air switch accordingly.
- Turn on the power switch. If the external switch is not turned on and the main circuit is working, it is usually because the external switch is broken or the thyristor component breaks down.
- When the external switch is pressed, there is no output from the main circuit. You should check whether the pole probe is in good contact, whether the quick fuse of the main circuit is intact, whether the peripheral components and power supply circuit are dual 17V and dual 7V. If there is still no output after all are normal, it is the trigger circuit. damage.
- When the power supply is working, the output current is small, usually because the output cable has poor contact or the load is large.
- If the fault cannot be repaired by yourself, please contact our service department.
