Operation Guidelines
DAC Curve: Establish Distance-Amplitude Curve by three side-drilled holes for defect evaluation
Sensitivity Calibration: Set testing sensitivity with the Φ2.5 mm side-drilled hole at 0.5T position
Sound Velocity & Sweep Range: Calibrate via the 19 mm block thickness
Curvature Requirement: For flat plates and large-diameter vessels (OD > 500 mm). Curved blocks shall be used for pipes with OD ≤ 500 mm
Typical Applications
Thin welds of pressure vessels, storage tanks and boilers
Butt & fillet welds of steel structures, marine and construction machinery
On-site ultrasonic testing in power, petrochemical and oil & gas industries
