Penetrant Test Specimen Type D - 150μm Depth, Chrome-Plated, per AS2083/BS2704
—— Penetration Test Block – Type D
JB/T6064-D Type Stainless Steel Chrome-Plated Striped Penetration Test Block
The penetration standard test block (also known as the stainless steel chrome-plated parallel striped test block) is a means to test the sensitivity of the penetrant and verify the accuracy of the operation process. This test block determines the sensitivity level by displaying the number of lines and the clarity of the parallel strip-shaped cracks in the three defect areas. It can also be used to check the corrosiveness of the penetrant to stainless steel materials.
Maintenance of the Test Block:
After the comparison test block is used, it must be thoroughly cleaned to remove the residual penetrant on the test block. After cleaning, soak it in an aceton or absolute ethanol solution for 30 minutes. After air-drying or blow-drying, place it in the test block box and store it in a dry place.
Precautions:
Do not strike the test block to avoid the expansion of the defects, which will affect the comparability and sensitivity of the detection.
